WHAT IS DELETED
- Your email address, and your password hash or the link to your Google account.
- Your display name and avatar choice.
- Your sign-in sessions. Every phone signed in to the account is signed out.
WHAT MAY BE KEPT, AND WHY
- Records of purchases and subscriptions, where the law or Cafe Bazaar requires them — only as long as required by law.
- A subscription in Bazaar keeps running until you cancel it there. Deleting the account doesn’t cancel or refund it.
- What’s on your phone. Tark keeps working without an account, with your channels, name and settings.
Delete it in the app Link to this section
This is the fastest way, and it happens straight away.
- Open Tark and go to Profile.
- In the Account section, tap Delete account.
- Confirm it’s you: type the account’s email and your password — or, for a Google account, sign in with Google again.
- If a subscription is still running, the app reminds you that deleting the account doesn’t cancel it.
- Confirm once more. The account is deleted, and every phone signed in to it is signed out.
A deleted account can’t be brought back. If you make a new account later, it starts empty — though a subscription that is still running in Bazaar can be restored into it.
Ask us by email Link to this section
If you no longer have the app, or can’t sign in, you can ask us to delete the account. Please send the request from the email address the account uses, so we can tell it comes from the account’s owner.
If the button doesn’t open your email app, write to tarkk.hp@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Tark account”. We may reply to that address to confirm the request before deleting anything, and we’ll let you know once it’s done.
What is deleted, and what may be kept Link to this section
Deleting the account removes these from our server:
- Your email address.
- Your password hash, for a password account, or your Google account id, for a Google account.
- Your display name and avatar id.
- Your sign-in sessions, including each phone’s platform and install key.
Records of purchases and subscriptions may be kept where the law or Cafe Bazaar requires them — for example, to account for a payment. They are kept only as long as required by law, and used for nothing else.
There is nothing about your conversations to delete, because none of it was ever on our server: voice, presence and what is said in a channel never leave the local link.
What the app keeps on your phone stays there — Tark keeps working without an account. Uninstalling the app removes it.
Your subscription Link to this section
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Cafe Bazaar, so cancel it in Bazaar as well, or it will keep renewing. Deleting the account doesn’t refund it either.
